Information we gather Zakatify LLC collects personal information when you register with us, use our products or services or post content on our Zakatify Services. Zakatify LLC may combine information about you that we have with information we obtain from business partners or others. Zakatify LLC may automatically receive and record information on our server logs from your browser, including your IP address, cookies, and the pages you request. Zakatify Services use information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, services improvement, contact, research, and anonymous reporting. IP addresses Zakatify LLC may occasionally obtain IP addresses from users depending upon how you access our Services. Information use, sharing and disclosure Zakatify LLC does not share personal information we learn about you from your use of the Zakatify LLC web sites, products and services with others except as described in this policy. When you provide personal information through using Zakatify Services you are, however, sharing your personal information with Zakatify LLC and its affiliated entities. The use of your personal information by these organizations is subject to this policy. We do not share your information with unrelated third parties for their direct marketing purposes. However, Zakatify LLC may display targeted advertisements based on personally non-identifiable information (such as charitable interests, location, etc.) and/or personal selection (See the Section entitled "Third Party Advertising" below for more information on how your information may be shared with advertisers). Zakatify LLC may use or share your personal information where it is necessary to complete a transaction, to operate or improve Zakatify Services, to do something that you have asked us to do, or tell you of products and services that we think may be of interest to you. In your profile settings on Zakatify Services, you may opt to publicly display the charities in your portfolio; however, we never display donation amounts. From time to time, Zakatify LLC or a partner, may sponsor a promotion, sweepstake or contest on our service. You may be asked to provide personal information, including name, email address or home address, or to answer questions in order to participate. Where you are contacted with an offer or service based on information you have shared with Zakatify LLC, we will do our best to provide you with an opportunity to opt-out of receiving such further communications at the time you are contacted; however, in connection with any of our products and services (i.e., products or services that you license or use for a fee), we reserve the right to send you certain communications relating to those products and services, such as service announcements, administrative messages, and newsletters that are considered part of your Zakatify Services account. When you register for Zakatify Services, Zakatify LLC collects user-submitted account information (such as name, email address, etc.) to identify users and send notifications related to the use of the service. Zakatify LLC also collects user-submitted profile information, including additional contact information, location, biographical information, and bookmarked charities. This additional profile information will assist other users in finding and communicating with you. Zakatify Services will display your "Display Name" (either your username or real name, according to the preferences you set in your account) on our platform where appropriate. To facilitate searching and finding friends and acquaintances on Zakatify Services, Zakatify LLC allows users to search for other members using your "Display Name." Additionally, Zakatify LLC will allow users to search for you by your first and last name and email address according to the preferences you set in your account. Email addresses and full names are used when a user invites a friend via email to join Zakatify Services, when a user requests to add another user to their network, and when Zakatify LLC sends notifications to a user related to their use of Zakatify Services. When you post a message on Zakatify Services, you have the ability to post a message which may include personally identifiable information about yourself. If you post personal information online that is accessible to the public, you may receive unsolicited messages from other parties. Zakatify LLC may share personally identifiable information about you under the following circumstances:
As we continue to develop our business, we may also buy or sell all or part of our business. In such transactions, personally identifiable information you have shared with us is generally one of the business assets that will be transferred. The transferred personally identifiable information will remain subject to this privacy policy or subsequent policies to which you have consented. Third party advertising Any advertisements appearing on Zakatify Services may be delivered to users by Zakatify LLC or one of our Web advertising partners. Our Web advertising partners may set cookies or web beacons. These cookies or web beacons allow the ad server to recognize your computer each time they send you an online advertisement. In this way, ad servers may compile information about where you, or others who are using your computer, saw their advertisements and determine which ads are clicked on. This information allows an ad network to deliver targeted advertisements that they believe will be of most interest to you. This privacy policy covers the use of cookies and web beacons by Zakatify Services and does not cover the use of cookies or web beacons by any advertisers. Zakatify LLC does not share any personally identifiable information with advertisers. Zakatify LLC may share general demographic information (such as aggregated statistics about member interests and occupations) and non-personally identifiable information (such as browser type and IP addresses) with advertisers and partners. Zakatify LLC does not give advertisers access to your individual personal account information. However, by selecting, interacting with or viewing an ad, you are consenting to the possibility that the advertiser will make the assumption that you meet the targeting criteria used to display the ad. Zakatify LLC may transfer personal information to certain advertising partners that you have explicitly requested to receive information from. It will be clear at the point of collection who is collecting the personal information and whose privacy statement will apply. Changes to this Privacy Policy Zakatify LLC may revise, modify or update this policy. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your particular Zakatify Services account or by placing a prominent notice on our site. Confidentiality and security Zakatify LLC is committed to handling your customer information with high standards of information security. We use computer safeguards such as firewalls and data encryption, we enforce physical access controls to our buildings and files, and we authorize access to personal information only for those employees who require it to fulfil their job responsibilities. When financial transactions are made by the user, they are processed directly by PayPal and sent from the user’s PayPal account to the PayPal Giving Fund, which then sends the donation to the designated charities. No data transmissions over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. Consequently, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to us and you do so at your own risk. If Zakatify LLC learns of a security systems breach, we may attempt to notify you electronically so that you can take appropriate protective steps. By using Zakatify Services or providing personal information to us you agree that we can communicate with you electronically regarding security, privacy and administrative issues relating to your use of those sites, products and services. We may post a notice on our applicable web sites if a security breach occurs. If this happens, you will need a web browser enabling you to view the applicable web sites. We may also send an email to you at the email address you have provided to us in these circumstances. Changing your preferences and personal information You can edit your account information on Zakatify Services at any time. Most personal information you may provide is entirely optional - the only information required to maintain a Zakatify account is a valid email address, which we use for important notifications related to your Zakatify account. Deleting your personal information You can delete your personal data at any time by contacting us at delete@zakatify.com, and we will undertake to perform the deletion within 30 days. However, please note that some personal information, primarily your contact information, may remain in our records to the extent necessary to protect our legal interests or document compliance with regulatory requirements. Contacting Zakatify LLC If you have a privacy concern regarding Zakatify Services, or this policy, and if you cannot satisfactorily resolve it through the use of our sites, products or services, you should contact us here or by emailing privacy@zakatify.com. If you object to any sharing of your personal information that may be permitted under this policy, you may do so by contacting us as specified above. We will take reasonable steps to accommodate your requests as they relate to our advertising practices.
